Cold Read Workshop

Get in the ring with your cold read skill-set and show who is boss when it comes to how you approach scene work!

Students will discuss technique and be given tools to quickly approach a scene and exercise trusting their instrument.

Date: Saturday, October 14th

Time: 1:00 – 3:00 pm EST

Location: In-Person at the APB Studio in East Greenwich, RI

Details: (All times followed by -ish)

1:00 – 1:30 – Welcome and discussion of technique and cold-read tools for the actor

1:30 – The official spilling of the sides! Actors will have 4 roles to choose from. Select your role and take 10 minutes with the copy!

1:45 – 2:45- Get in “the ring” with your role and your scene partner. Put the scene up on its feet! Each group will discuss the work and be given an adjustment to take back to their seat for round two.

2:45 – 3:00 – Roundtable discussion of the work and technique followed by a closing Q & A
